• The cytometer optics are inspected and cleaned.
• Mechanical components inspected, adjusted, and lubricated if necessary
• The proper operation of electronic components is confirmed
• Necessary repairs and services performed to make sure the cytometer will function as intended
• We measure the lasers' power output and ensure it is not degraded. 
• We clean the fluidics and optical paths of the cytometer.
• Preventative maintenance is performed, and new fluid filters and pump tubing are installed.
• The system is cleaned to less than ten events per second with DI water on the SIP.
• We run calibration particles and ensure that each channel provides clean signals with the required sensitivity and intensity.
• BD Accuri C6 Plus shutdown and storage procedure is performed, thus ensuring the instrument will function well once used by the customer.

You will need the consumables starting out: 

• C6 Flow Cytometer Fluid Kit (bdbiosciences.com)
• BD FACS Sheath Solution with Surfactant (bdbiosciences.com), or you can use 0.22 μm filtered, deionized (DI) water
• Extended Flow Cell Clean Solution (bdbiosciences.com) – recommended, not required
• 24 Tube Rack for BD CSampler™ (bdbiosciences.com)  – if using with C-sampler with tubes
• Rainbow Calibration Particles (8 peaks), 3.0 - 3.4 µm (bdbiosciences.com)

Warranty Terms:

• The instrument comes fully warrantied for both parts and labor within the continental USA & Canada. An international warranty option is available as well.
• The customer should retain all packing materials during the warranty period. 

Exceptions: 

• Damage to the system due to the use of incorrect consumables.
• Electrical damage from plugging into an incorrect voltage or power surges. 
• Improper storage or transportation procedures.
• Issues caused by lack of proper standard maintenance.
• Moisture/Water damage.
• Physical damage.

Installation & Training:

Option 1 – In Person

If your lab is located within two hours of Boston, we may be able to offer in-person installation and training in person.

Option 2 – Remote/Virtual

Our remote training is conducted via Zoom, allowing us to significantly reduce its cost and offer it to customers outside our travel area.

Both training options include:

• Review of the instrument and its capabilities.
• General instrument and software operation.
• Review of the recommended maintenance procedures.

 We generally recommend these training services if you never worked with this instrument.

• Make sure the instrument is properly packed for shipping and will arrive safely. If the instrument is large, request to have it packed in a wooden crate.
• Confirm that there is no physical damage or any misaligned internal components. 
• Ask what accessories are included.
• Ask how long the warranty is and what it covers.

• This is a common model, and we generally stock multiple instruments, accessories, and many replacement parts to back up our warranty.

We acknowledge that sometimes you can purchase this model instrument elsewhere, possibly for less.

• We guarantee that the instrument will be functional.

• If you are a US or Canadian customer, we are likely already a registered vendor in your University's vendor system. This would greatly expedite the process of PO approvals and get this instrument into your lab faster.
• POs are accepted from US and Canadian universities.

• We can ship within a few days to two weeks. Shipping time depends on the current demand for our instruments. Members of our sales team will be able to offer current delivery estimates.

• All instruments shipped within the USA and internationally are fully insured.  This applies as long as we are the shipper and handle shipping arrangements.
• If the buyer handles shipping, then shipping insurance responsibility falls to the buyer; we highly advise that the buyer obtain shipping insurance from their carrier.

Packing

• Smaller instruments ship via UPS Parcel Delivery with adequate packing material and a strong box. Or, when combined with other orders, it may be packed in a crate.
• Most larger instruments ship in fully enclosed ISPM15-certified wooden crates with proper padding underneath, and the sides have moving components braced.
• Accessories are packed safely in boxes with padding and then safely packed inside the crate.
• We may not use a crate for local deliveries to save you money *if delivered by us.
• We often use “tilt’ & “shock” indicators on the crates to ensure the crate has not been excessively tilted and dropped where equipment may suffer damage.
• Photos are taken during the packing process to make sure nothing is missed.

USA/Canada Shipping

• Within the US and Canada, we will ship via selected freight carriers. We do not use low-price/high-damage carriers as we want the equipment to get safely to you.

International Shipping

• Internationally, we will only ship via Air Freight or Air Parcel (such as UPS or DHL), which provides reliability, no exposure to Ocean weather, and timely delivery.
  We have extensive experience packing and shipping fragile instruments globally.
