This stereoscope is setup for both brightfield transmitted and reflective studies at a magnification range of 3.15x to 40x.
The mechanical internal magnifier allows for a one handed analog zoom while leaving your other hand free to adjust/maintain mechanical fine focus.
The addition of the the Amscope camera and software allows for a basic imaging with measurements.
The diascopic base includes a diffuser that removes the UV light coming from the mercury lamp source, which results in a very bright transmitted light.
This would be a very good setup for an inspection microscope viewing either transparent biological samples or material samples that require a larger working distance from the objective.

This Nikon SMZ1270 Stereo Microscope is in good working order with all aspects tested and working fully.
Microscope and optics have been professionally cleaned by our technicians under a class 10,000 cleanroom hood.

Tested all knobs and controls to be working fully: PASSED

During testing and cleaning this Nikon SMZ1270 Stereo Microscope was found to have no issues.
A clear image was produced through the eyepieces as well as through the camera port.
All of the mechanical components moved freely and the test sample was able to be focused without excessive effort.
